Dan joined HaysMac in March 2024, bringing with him over 16 years worth of experience, of which almost all were spent working with Charities and Not-For-Profits (NFP). Dan has a real passion for the sector. Dan has a real passion for the sector.
Dan specialises in delivering robust and quality audits to our clients, as part of our social purpose team. He enjoys working with the variety the sector provides, encompassing a whole range of clients, from small independent examinations, all the way up to large, consolidated groups, with overseas subsidiaries and non-controlling interests. This includes faith-based charities, care charities grant-making charities, independent schools, multi-academy trusts, and many others.
Dan joined his previous firm, Kreston Reeves, as a school leaver, and stayed and trained there for over 16 years, rising from an audit assistant to an audit manager, before joining HaysMac as a Senior Manager.
Dan has taken part, both through organised work events and through events organised personally, in numerous charity fundraisers over the last few years, including both 24 hour and 50km walks, managing to raise thousands of pounds for charitable causes. He has also undertaken ample volunteering days, helping a number of organisations.
Dan has two young children, whom he adores spending time with and is a massive sports fan including football, rugby union, boxing – basically whatever is on. He is a Man Utd fan, but also attends games at Gillingham FC, his local professional club, and is a big fan of the England rugby union team, and attends games at Twickenham when he can.
Now being (self-confessed) too old to play football anymore (26 years plus is enough for anybody right?!), Dan tries to keep fit by running and using his exercise bike.
