Ben is a corporate tax specialist who primarily focuses on advising clients in the Real Estate sector.
Ben has 14 years’ experience supporting property‑focused businesses on a wide range of tax matters, with particular expertise in UK REITs, property transactions and structuring.
Ben works with a diverse client base, from FTSE 100 groups to privately owned property developers, providing both tax advisory and compliance support. He has led on numerous property transactions, overseeing tax due diligence and structuring projects, and brings a practical, commercially focused approach to complex tax challenges.
Prior to joining HaysMac, Ben spent the majority of his career at a Big Four firm within its Real Estate tax team. He also spent two years at M7 Real Estate as the business’s first external tax hire, supporting on both advisory and compliance matters and gaining valuable in‑house experience.
Alongside his professional career, Ben previously served for several years as Treasurer of his local rugby club, with responsibility for financial oversight and cash management.
Outside work, Ben is a keen sports enthusiast. While his playing days are behind him, he remains a committed follower of rugby, an Arsenal fan and cricket enthusiast, and now spends more of his free time on the golf course.
