Charlotte Wain

Charlotte Wain is a Senior Manager in HaysMac’s VAT team, specialising in VAT and indirect taxes for UK and international businesses. She supports organisations across a broad range of sectors, helping them navigate complex VAT rules with clarity, confidence and a strong commercial focus.

Charlotte advises clients in retail and e-commerce, technology, financial services, healthcare, hospitality and real estate. She enjoys building long-term client relationships and is known for her practical approach, not just ensuring compliance, but helping clients understand how VAT impacts their wider business decisions and growth plans.

Before joining HaysMac in late 2025, Charlotte worked at a Big Four firm, where she was a key member of the Indirect Tax Global Compliance team. She has also spent time on secondment within client organisations, giving her valuable insight into the realities of managing VAT in-house and the pressures faced by internal finance teams.

Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys attending fitness classes, spending time outdoors with her dogs, cooking (and eating), and planning her next holiday.
